Responsibilities

• The Chief Plant Engineer will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of bakery manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Develop and optimize production layouts to improve efficiency and output.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
• The Chief Plant Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and equipment issues through root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics and CAD drawings.
• Oversee machinery installation, repair, and preventative maintenance activities.
• The Chief Plant Engineer will train and mentor maintenance technicians on proper equipment operation and upkeep.
• Stay current with industry technologies, automation systems, and best practices.

Qualifications

• The Chief Plant Engineer must hold an engineering degree
• Must come from an Engineering Management background.
• Must have prior experience in a baking manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering and mechanical systems.
• The Chief Plant Engineer must be skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics systems, and automation technologies.
• Welding and mechanical assembly skills a plus.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage plant engineering functions effectively.
• The Chief Plant Engineer must be flexible in shifts as per the needs of the plant.
