Marine Engineer Sales Specialist

This role combines technical expertise with client-focused service, ensuring the reliable operation of marine propulsion systems and fostering long-term customer relationships. Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing planning, quotations, and delivery of aftersales and technical services.
• Coordinate seamlessly between clients, field service engineers, and internal technical teams within the U.S. and abroad to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of vessel and equipment service histories, parts utilization, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments to plan and execute service interventions, allocating resources effectively and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in technical and product training sessions, sharing field insights to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Uphold safety standards and conduct risk assessments prior to on-site work, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field; maritime academy graduates are highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in the maritime industry, including sea-going roles as a deck or engine officer.
• Prior sales experience is not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided to develop sales skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally and 10% internationally.
• Proficiency in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude, organizational ability, adaptability, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills, along with a motivation to grow within a technical commercial environment.
