Little Blue Valley Sewer District , a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence.

(Wastewater Plant Operator) Perform tasks associated with the operation and preventive maintenance of wastewater treatment plant facilities & equipment.
Will train on-the-job.
Must acquire MO level “D” wastewater certification within 6 mos. of employment & then acquire level “C” within 2 yrs.
Both requirements are conditions of employment.
Must possess & maintain valid driver’s license
Shift work (12-hr shifts, no swing shifts)
Hourly, Non-Exempt
